Greetings CCBN members, potential members, and nursing students,

The month of May is an extremely busy and exciting month for CCBN. We co-sponsored the OLN Nurses Week Luncheon! It was a pleasure meeting the speaker, Congressman David Joyce. His speech was very engaging!

• We are eagerly anticipating the American Heart Association Power of Laughter Luncheon on Saturday, May 19th!
• We look forward to the MetroHealth Spring Minority Recruitment & Networking event! Tiona (chair of the Legislative and Health Policy Committee) is diligently working on preparing an awesome roundtable discussion with Senator Sherrod Brown.
• CCBN is hosting a CME/CE dinner regarding HIV Prevention at The Capital Grille. Charlene Flash, MD will be presenting “PrEP in Clinical Practice: More Lessons Learned”.
• Good news! The National Institutes of Health launches the All of Us Research Program which is a momentous effort to advance individual-ized prevention, treatment, and care for peo-ple of all backgrounds. CCBN is excited to par-ticipate in this National Initiative!
• Vitrea and Claudia have stepped up to the plate and volunteered to be champions for our Annual Scholarship Luncheon coming up in June.
